18th Annual RBCPC Preschool Women’s Night

What is Women’s Night?
Women’s Night is an annual fundraiser for the preschool’s Sharing Lives ministry. The evening includes a silent auction, entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

Why does the preschool need a fundraiser?
The funds raised at this event go directly to the preschool’s Sharing Lives ministry which has two purposes: First is our fully inclusive preschool where children with special needs are provided a learning experience together side-by-side with typically developing children. The second is tuition assistance which allows the preschool to reach out to families in need to help them cover some of the expense of tuition.

Who Attends?
All are welcome. Feel free to invite your mother, sister, aunts, and friends. This is a wonderful event to share with the women in your life.

Can I decorate a table?
Yes! Dishes, glassware (including wine & coffee) and utensils will be provided by RB Inn. Hostesses will provide the center piece and table decorations.

Do you still need husbands to help?
Yes. Dads, teens, grandparents all or encouraged to volunteer to allow the evening to flow smoothly. Help is needed with the silent auction as well as other areas.

How do I attend?
You (or your class or group) purchase and host a table (eight-ten seats per table). As a hostess would invite guests to join you. Or you may purchase a ticket individually and you will be seated at a table with an opening.

Tickets
Tickets are $30 per person. You can purchase a table of 8 for $240, a table of 9 for $270, or a table of 10 for $300. Ticket sales begin Monday, November 14th at 9:00am at the preschool or by phone at (858) 487-0824. We are working on online purchasing so check back for updates. Hostesses will pick their table locations at the time of purchase. Those who wish to have adjacent tables should plan on purchasing together.

How can I help?
There are lots of ways to help the preschool out! And, in most cases, childcare will be provided during your volunteer time.

Silent Auction
We need items for the silent auction and are asking each preschool family to consider obtaining a donation from family or friends’ businesses or from local community businesses. Donations can be of any amount. Gift certificates, jewelry, hotel stays, services, recreation, sporting events, and entertainment are just a few ideas. Deadline for items is Friday Dec 2, 2011.

Basket Assembly (for Silent Auction)
Help wrap and decorate the donated items. All supplies are provided, and no experience is necessary. We will show you just what to do, and you’ll have fun making new friends while doing it. Basket assembly will take place at the preschool on Tuesday Dec 6 – Friday Dec. 9.

Volunteer at the event (or for setup)
Parents are needed to set up before on the day of event, Wednesday Dec 13th, starting at 8:30 am and throughout the day. We also need Dads to volunteer to work at the event that evening.
